1. I plan on designing some new safety and reference materials that are accessible online for ease of implementation and use. With a fleet of over 250 company owned vehicles and another 100 plus employees utilizing their own trucks for work, we have many gaps in how we report accidents and changes. The training and reference materials that I am proposing will help to reinforce the concepts that we have and the steps one must follow when working for our organization.

VID complicating matters further relative to holding in person trainings and staff development the problems have only shown themselves more.


3. We have pushed out some computer based and app based trainings this past year to help bridg


e the gap, but they are not customized to the particular holes that have become part of our processes. Creating this new targeted training and reference material should immediately address our inefficiencies and further strengthen the connection between our corporate office and our field operations.


4. Working through this process and identifying a training need that we should address will be valuab


le to


the organization. The extent to which this searching for the "whys" has helped will rema


in to be seen. I will utilize the ADDIE model for instructional design to assist in the creation and use as a roadmap moving forward. Anything that adds to that model will only help make sure that nothing is missed and that the materials created truly do address the needs that we have for them.
